I didn't used to use patterns (back in the day), and this is one of the first things I've made in a year without a pattern. I just measured Ellie's chest and decided on a length and made one of the easiest dresses ever! This is one of my favorite Amy Butler fabrics.

So does it have a seam in the back and then you just trimmed it off? I want to do one of those! So cute
No, there's no seam in the back, it's just open. There are buttons, but if I made this again, I would probably use elastic so she can wear it longer. It's just a rectangle of fabric with straps at the top and buttons for closure.
